Mt. Si Gu Niang (4 Sisters)

This is one of China's oldest and most iconic high-altitude trekking routes. On the bus to the destination, I managed to join together a last-minute team and even found our guide who just happened to be on the same bus.

On the first day, we hiked to the end of Changping Valley. The next morning, we crossed the mountain pass and descended into Bipeng Valley, completing the classic traverse.

The Siguniang mountain area is also renowned worldwide for alpine climbing, such as the Luo Tuo (Camel) Peak that I tried to summit years later.
