Mountain Gear Lab is owned by Brook who has been hiking in the outdoor since 2007. By 2015, Brook has accumulated over 4000KM hiking distance and eight years of MYOG experience. Then, he decided to set up his cottage to make exactly functional and elegant ultralight gear, by mainly using Dyneema Composite Fabrics (DCF, aka. Cuben Fiber).

  • 2026/04: Re-launched this website (using Shopify)
  • 2023/10: Finished the Pyra1 solo pyramid.
  • 2023/06: Quitted my fulltime job and started to devote fully on Mountain Gear Lab.
  • 2022/03: Ordering with Paypal was activated.
  • 2016/04: This website was set up (using OSCommerce).
  • 2015/12: Thought of Mountain Gear Lab as my cottage name while I was hiking the GOW in Australia.
