After finishing the trek from Lugu Lake to Yading, I headed for another classic route at Mt. Gongga. Starting from Laoyulin Hydropower Station near Kangding, we crossed the Riwuqie Pass before descending to Zimei Village over four days.

As the King of the Mountains in Sichuan, Minya Konka hardly needs an introduction. This time I was hiking with three buddies, so the trip didn't leave a deep retrospection as my solo treks did.

By then, my body had already adapted after 7 consecutive days of trekking at high altitude, and my fitness was at its peak. Climbing the 4,900M pass, I found myself keeping pace with the pack horses. Looking back, I could see my friends inching their way up in visible pain. I couldn't help feeling a little sorry for them ;-).
