Yushan Island is described as one of the most beautiful sea islands in China. At the top of the island are two lakes known as "Heavenly Lakes".
The mountain top was still quite natural with little sign of human interference. Looking at the peak across the lake, I thought it would be perfect to take a bivy and spend a night hidden besides some rocks on the hillside.
In the end, though, I camped halfway down the mountain, and then left the island the following day.
