Mt. Chang Bai

Mt. Chang Bai is an active volcano few in China and sits on the border to North Korea. The mountain can be visited from the north or the west slope in China.

Starting from the Er Dao Bai He village, I was firstly told no public transport to the scenic area, which I can’t believe, and then had to take an expensive taxi, followed by the expensive entry ticket and another ticket for the bus within the scenic area, which only took me to a middle point. Another 180 RMB is asked then for taking a 4x vehicle to the mountain top.

I could not bear the money-grabbing any more, and hiked three hours. When I arrived the mountain top, the whole world was unfortunately in a misty white, so I missed the Heaven Lake, the only must-see for people who come to this mountain.
