Mt. Kong Tong

I went to Mt. Kong Tong the first time with my ex and we happened to stop by a temple to be unexpectedly offered with a side room for lodging. The temple was taken care of by an aged and nice couple of Taoists, who must have lived in the temple for years.

I went to Mt. Kong Tong the second time alone, because I lost the photos of the first time. I chose the same temple for lodging, which is named Zhao He Tang, meaning "to attract cranes".

Peace on the quiet and empty mountain can be especially felt in the early morning, when you can see undisturbed masters of Taoism having their ordinary lives, such as taking firewood on their shoulders back to their living temples, or practicing the Kong Tong style of martial arts.

The construction on the mountain is also notable, especially a series of small temples aligned on an almost vertical ridge.
