Like many trail systems in developed countries, the Great Ocean Walk is a well-established route with good infrastructure.

Its defining feature is the coastline itself - walking beside the ocean for days, occasionally stopping to admire sea life such as starfish in the tidal pools.

The 100 km journey over four days was a pleasure from start to finish.

One of the most memorable moments, oddly enough, was the woody rest room at my third campsite, where I could sit on the toilet and look out at the ocean through the window.
