Fansipan is the top of Vietnam. I took an old overnight train from Hanoi to Sapa, with a girl together, where we ride a motorcycle to the entrance of the Fansipan national park, only to find it was closed due a recent forest fire.
In a similar way, I missed Mt. Rinjani at the Lombok island of Indonesia, because I ignored the local raining season when the mountain is closed.
Sometimes you spent lots of money, time, and effort, but things still didn't work out as you thought. This is life.
