Mt. Pinatubo in the Philippines is another famous active volcano for the tourists. A 4-wheel-drive jeep took me along a long valley of volcano ashes, which must have been formed by the notorious 1991 eruption - the second largest one of the 20th century - which cut off the mountain by 300 meters.

The 20-minute climb of the last section took me to the Pinatubo crater lake. It was quiet and peaceful there.
