The regular part of Mt. Qing Cheng for tourists may be as boring as well with stepped climbing. The local people often go to the back side of the mountain for relaxation in weekends.

The nearby Dujiangyan is an irrigation system built 3rd century B.C. and is still used now to control and distribute the water from the west mountains to the fertile farmland of the Chengdu plain in the east.
