Xuexiang (the Snow Village) is well known for a winter one-day hike to Dongsheng Forest Farm. The trail climbs over Mt. Yangcao, and around noon I reached the summit. The sky had cleared, but the wind was fierce.
A handful of pines stood alone against the elements, their branches draped in fresh snow that looked pure beneath the blue winter sky. I paid 15 RMB for a bowl of instant noodles before descent.
