Overview

The simplicity of a rectangular flat tarp means its versatility. Firstly, as a group tarp, whether it's cooking and sharing food under one roof in a raining day, or it's gazing at bright starts or chatting with your fellows, be it casual or profound, in a breezy summer night, the tarp is actually the key to a more joyful camping life.

A flat tarp can also be used as a sleeping tarp as well, set up in the common A‑frame structure, and can also be pitched in other forms, such as lean‑to or half pyramid, depending on your campsite conditions or weather. This flexibility, due to the non‑catenary cut ridgeline of the flat tarp, is welcomed by experienced hikers.

However, I do make the four sides of the flat tarp to be curved. This does NOT limit the tarp's flexibility, but makes it much EASIER to achieve a tight pitch.
