Guyline

Overview

Many Dyneema guylines in the market are uncomfortably as tough as an iron wire because of too much Dyneema core. It in turn leads to thinner polyester surface subject to wear. That's why I decide to lay down my own specs of guylines, seeking a balance among tensile strength, operability, wear resistance, and weight.

1.6 mm Dyneema guyline

• Ultra lightweight without sacrificing basic operability
• Tightly braided anti-slippery surface
• 1.8 grams/M

1.9 mm Dyneema guyline

• Lightweight
• Heavier surface texture for better wear resistance
• Nice soft hand feel
• 2.6 grams/M

Lengths

• 1.2M for tarp tieouts close to ground or low points on a shelter/tent
• 2M/2.5M for high points on a tarp or for a big shelter/tent

Features

• Bright yellow very easy to identify and avoiding stumbling
• Dyneema core & polyester surface – lightweight, high tensile strength, no stretch, and good hand feel
• Comes with Clamcleat(r) linelocs weighting 0.7g each
• Loops on guylines for girth hitching to each other to extend
